About
Platinum Group Coatings (PGC) was founded in 2012 to commercialize the EP-IC coating technology. Based in Pasadena, CA, PGC's mission is to provide EP-IC technology goods and services to those interested in developing next-generation biomedical microelectronics.
PGC aims to make the EP-IC electrode material the industry standard for high-performance biomedical sensor-stimulator applications.
Research
PGC is collaborating with leading researchers to advance the field of neuroscience.
PGC was awarded its first Phase-I SBIR grant from the NIH's National Institute for Neurological Disease and Stroke in 2014 to evaluate the EP-IC technology for DBS applications. Successful completion of this program led to award of a 2015 Phase-II program to continue technology development.
In 2017 PGC received a direct to Phase-II SBIR grant from NIH National Institute for Neurological Disease and Stroke to study EP-IC technology in a non human primate DBS application.
